Terms and Conditions
Tasman Golf & Kirra Travel International
Please read the following very carefully as the terms outlined in this document apply generally to all the products and packages sold by KTI Travel. Airlines, hotels, wholesalers and other suppliers have various other terms and conditions relating to the purchase of their goods and services. Terms for these suppliers will be displayed in the Booking Conditions of individual brochures relating to the particular product. Please request the appropriate literature to enable you to check those terms and conditions when making a booking through KTI Travel.
Deposits
A minimum deposit of $200.00 per person for land arrangements and $300.00 per person for any walks will be required within 7 days to book and confirm your reservation. This deposit indicates your acceptance of the terms of trade as indicated by this letter and is non-refundable. Where your travel arrangements involve flights, show or theatre tickets, we will require payment for tickets immediately, as once these are issued they become non-refundable.
Payments
Payment for land arrangements may be made by direct deposit, cash, bank cheque and personal/company cheque, provided there are at least 15 working days to allow bank clearance prior to document collection, otherwise payment by bank cheque, cash or credit card will be required. We accept most major credit cards such as MasterCard, Visa, Amex and Diners, some of which may incur transaction fees.
Please note: Due to ticketing requirements airfares cannot be paid by cheque (bank or personal) or direct deposit.
In order to ensure your flights are secured it is essential that any payment dates specified be adhered to. We accept no responsibility for loss of reservation or any extra costs incurred in rebooking. The date given is the latest date that the fare can be paid. You should be aware however, that if the airline reschedules its services, or withdraws the fare you are traveling on, the airline would hold no responsibility for honoring non-issued tickets; therefore, you may wish to consider earlier payment for added protection.
Final payment must be received by Tasman Golf and/or KTI Travel at least 35 days prior to departure to facilitate timely preparation and delivery of travel documents.
Travel Insurance
We recommend that you take out a Travel Insurance policy contemporaneously with the payment of your travel. You should ensure that such Insurance provides you with cover against the financial collapse of all parties involved in providing services on our behalf during your holiday/travel, and that it will protect you against medical expenses arising from sickness or injury during your travel, and protect you also against loss or damage to your belongings.
KTI Travel can issue Travel Insurance through QBE, offering protection against cancellation costs due to certain circumstances, loss of or damage to luggage and personal effects, medical expenses etc. Please refer to their brochure and product disclosure statement to decide which policy is best suited to your needs.
Service And Amendment Fees
Reservations made by Tasman Golf & KTI Travel, which involve only Domestic or Trans-Tasman flights, will contract a $25.00 service fee.
Any voluntary change to reservations, departure dates and / or itinerary by you after Full payment is made, may incur the following charges by KTI in addition to any fees levied by airlines, tour operators or wholesalers:
- Prior to Document issue: from $50.00
- After Document issue: from $100.00
Coach Tours Cancelled By The Operator
A minimum number of bookings are required to operate a tour and also to ensure an enjoyable group atmosphere. Where sufficient numbers cannot be achieved, the Company reserves the right to cancel a scheduled departure. The decision to operate the tour is usually made 60 days prior to the schedule departure date, however in some instances; this decision may not be available until 30 days prior to the departure date.
Where a tour is cancelled prior to the departure date we shall endeavor to offer the nearest possible alternative tour (subject to a refund or payment to cover any tour price difference) or, if this is not acceptable, refund your monies in full.
Where airfares have been purchased to coincide with a cancelled tour we shall endeavor to find alternative arrangements to suit the dates of your existing itinerary. If no such arrangements can be made and you choose to alter your travel dates, KTI Travel will reimburse you the cost of the amendment fees of your airline ticket (up to $100.00 per passenger). Any additional costs will be the responsibility of the passengers.
Cancellation Fees
Please be advised that cancellation of bookings will incur charges. A minimum of $200.00 per person is applicable in conjunction with any fees or charges levied by other supplier. Airlines, tour operators and wholesalers often do not offer full refunds and claims may take up to 12 weeks to be processed.
Passport And Visa Requirements
Prior to confirming your travel arrangements, you should check your Passport and establish that it will remain current for the entire period of your travel.
It is your responsibility to ensure that all necessary travel documents (e.g. passports, visas) are valid and effective. We strongly recommend that you verify current information with your Travel Agent or the nearest consulate office of the country/countries you are intending to visit.
Price Increases
Please note that prior to final account payments our affiliated suppliers and we reserve the right to increase prices without notice. Changes may be due to such factors as international exchange rates, increase in airfares or alterations to tour operator prices. We recommend that you check the final price prior to making your final payment, after which there will be no further increases.
Refunds
Once departure date is reached, cancellations or unused services/vouchers are not refundable. Refunds cannot be authorised by serviced providers.
Authority To Disclose Information
In the event that an accident, disaster or emergency is reported to have occurred in a country where you will or may be traveling we may need to disclose to the your country’s Government Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, details of your itinerary (including without limitation, transport and accommodation arrangements) and contact details. Please advise us if you do not authorise Tasman Golf & KTI Travel to disclose such information.
Travel Quotes
Quotes are used to give an indication of overall travel costs and do not reflect the availability or finalized pricing of products. Any flights incorporated are subject to change and will be reconfirmed and re-quoted at the time of booking.
Not Included
The following costs are not included in quoted fees and are the responsibility of the client: all airport arrival/departure taxes, charges for excess luggage, personal services, gratuities, laundry, drinks, meals except as specified, pre-travel documentation, personal accident and medical expenses and incidental expenses including all communication charges incurred on the passenger's behalf.
Our Role As Your Travel Agent
Tasman Golf & KTI Travel strives to obtain and/or provide tickets, vouchers and product orders for the transport, accommodation and other services agreed upon on your behalf. All bookings made are subject to terms and conditions imposed by airlines, wholesalers and tour operators. Please ensure you are familiar with all terms and conditions relating to your booking.
Tasman Golf & KTI Travel and its employees shall not accept liability for any failure or delay in performing its obligations or for any loss or damage suffered by you or any third party.
All prices are based on current exchange rates and are subject to any increases advised to us by the airlines or other principles. Once full payment is received there will be no further account increases. Tasman Golf & KTI Travel acts as an agent for airlines and other principles, all arrangements are subject to their terms and conditions as set out in their brochures, vouchers and other documentation.
